European Directive for chemicals

REACH (European Directive No. 1907/2006) stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of CHemicals. According to REACH, all the companies in the supply chain of a chemical (producers, importers, clients) are responsible for the safe use thereof and must record and limit the risk to people and/or the environment.

In addition to that, it is important that the risks of the substances are made known to the clients, consumers and employees so they know how to handle the substances safely.

As at 1 December 2008, Jacomij Metalen has pre-registered the following materials:

Copper / Nickel / Aluminium / Tin / Zinc / Led / Titanium / Molybdenum / Silver / Gold / Bismuth / Cadmium / Cobalt / Chrome / Iron / Germanium / Indium / Iridium / Manganese / Magnesium / Niobium / Palladium / Platinum / Rhodium / Vanadium / Tantalum / Wolfram / Zirconium / Rhenium / Antimonium / Selenium
